Heating Jackets
& Valve Jacketing
SKB Flow designs, fabricates, and fits heating jackets to valves and pressure equipment — keeping process fluids at the correct operating temperature to prevent solidification, viscosity loss, or process disruption in demanding industrial applications.

Jacket design, fabrication & fitting
SKB Flow provides a complete heating jacket service to valve manufacturers, stockists, and distributors across Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region. We design, fabricate, and fit jackets to valves and a wide range of pressure equipment — including strainers, filters, flow meters, and sight glasses — ensuring process fluids remain at the correct operating temperature throughout the system.
Equipment types covered
Three jacket configurations
SKB Flow offers three distinct jacket configurations to suit different valve geometries, maintenance requirements, and operating conditions — all designed and fabricated in-house.
A heating jacket welded directly to the outside of the valve body — providing efficient, direct heat transfer because the outer shell of the valve becomes the inner shell of the heating jacket. Suitable where a permanent, compact solution is preferred and valve removal for maintenance is not a frequent requirement.
Designed as a self-contained vessel that clamps around the valve body — allowing for easier maintenance, inspection, or replacement without disturbing the valve installation. Ideal for applications where regular access to the valve internals is required or where the jacket may need periodic removal for inspection.
SKB Flow modifies the standard flanged valve to either an oversized flanged or wafer-pattern configuration — enabling the entire length of the valve body to be heated without obstructing the end flanges. This ensures uniform temperature distribution across the full valve length, making it the preferred choice for high-viscosity or solidification-critical process fluids.
Jacket materials
Jacket materials are selected based on process conditions, fluid compatibility, and service environment. SKB Flow's standard materials cover the majority of industrial applications, with additional alloys available on request.
Standard & custom specifications
All SKB Flow heating jackets are designed to defined operating parameters — with standard ratings covering the majority of steam and hot-water trace heating applications, and custom designs available for more demanding conditions.
| Parameter | Standard design | Custom design |
|---|---|---|
| Max. operating temperature | 150°C Standard | Higher — per project requirement Custom |
| Max. operating pressure | 10 barg Standard | Higher — per project requirement Custom |
| Heating medium | Steam, hot water, thermal oil | Per process specification |
| Jacket configuration | Partial, clamp-on, full-length | Bespoke geometry available |
| End connection | Flanged or wafer pattern | Modified to suit installation |
Every project is unique: SKB Flow understands that standard ratings do not always meet the demands of real-world process conditions. Our engineering team is ready to accommodate higher operating temperatures and pressures — contact us with your specific requirements for a tailored solution.
